Up today is a magnificent wwii us army air force officer's crusher visor cap. This is a true crusher, you can roll it up and stuff it ni your pocket! The cap was manufactured by knox, one of the finest makers druing the war.
This is a great cap! The cap has a khaki top in excellent shape (couple scattered moth nips, tohugh they are minor).
Encircling the cap is a wonderful moahir band. The visor, chinstrap, and cavalry-style backstrap are supple and in superb condition (the visor does show some minor crazing). The screwback brass eagle on the front of the cap is marked gemsco, acid test on the reverse. Teh cap was manufactured by knox of new york.
The cap has a fully attached and supple leather sweatband. The inner liner has not carmelized, unlike mots wwii caps. It is marked as a medium size 7 1/8.
Additionally, the cap is named inside to lieutenant norman g. Rietman of the u. S. Army ari corps. This is na excellent cap in fantastic condition! What a wonderful addition this cap would maek to any collection!
